Since 2015, HempX Asheville has been bringing together farmers, artists, crafters, and entrepreneurs to explore the diverse opportunities in industrial hemp. Staged the last two years at Highland Brewing Company, this year the festival has a new home at Franny's Farm in Leceister, NC and will be held September 22-23rd.

HempX Asheville focuses in on "hands on" workshops and experiences so each attendee will be introduced to the multiple applications and uses of industrial hemp. Franny's Farm, will be harvesting their two acres of hemp for fiber a few weeks before the festival, so a walk to the hemp field, time on the brake, pounding the pulp for paper, and using hemp yarns for weaving, will bring the story of "from seed to plant to processing to product"to life. With the best vendors, self guided eco tours, on-site camping, and live music at night to complement, there is no other hemp-centric experience like HempX Asheville in the South.

The HempX Experience   12-5pm ($25.00)
All workshops, demos, and panels (see next section) will be held @Franny's Farm. The afternoon schedule allows everyone plenty of time to take the self guided Farm Tour and take a peek at a working hemp field. Now that NC's industrial hemp pilot program is underway, we are adding more panels and discussions with hemp farmers from NC & KY. There will be some walking involved and expect to get a little dirty. Be sure to dress casual and comfortable, wear the right shoes, and bring a water bottle. After registration, you will receive your designated workshop schedule via email in August. There will be a food truck on site (12-8pm), plenty of water refill stations, and hemp-infused free samples throughout the day.

5-6pm - The Hempy Hour featuring Hemp activist and Kentucky legend Craig Lee

7pm - The Concert - Jane Kramer with Free Planet Radio & Billy Cardine
This concert is included with every $25 Saturday ticket and we are selling a limited number of tickets for the concert for $12 here. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association and their support of hemp farmers across NC.
