You are cordially invited to a gathering of like minds + potluck celebration!
On Saturday, September 8, we will gather out by the barn to catch up and connect with fellow fiber folks. EVERYONE is invited, regardless of whether you are a farmer, knitter, natural dyer, mill owner, or just someone interested in any part of the process. We are setting this time aside to honor our local fiber community and strengthen the relationships that tie us together.
Dinner will be served potluck style, so please bring your favorite recipe (or the cookies you bought on the way) to share. We will be treated to a selection of locally grown + harvested dishes from Robin Verson, along with delicious desert options provided by her incredibly talented daughter, Madeline. Feel free to bring your own libations if you so desire. I'll have a few growlers of local brew to share.
Our region is full of local fiber farms, a variety of incredible processing mills, and a large number of artists + designers who can turn the raw material into many useful items. Join us for a laid back evening as we connect the dots and continue to grow our local network.
Please pass this along to anyone you think may be interested in attending.
While most events at the farm are kid friendly, we request that this particular gathering be reserved for adults only.
** (FREE) Camping is available if you are traveling and need a place to stay. Please contact me directly to reserve a spot. (email@example.com)
A donation of $10 / person is suggested. All donations will go directly towards hosting + maintaining the Southern Appalachia Fibershed website and marketing material.
Please R.S.V.P. via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) so that we can plan ahead and put out enough chairs for everyone.
