Field Trip Opportunities

Whether you are interested in bringing a single class or the entire grade level, we can work together to plan an educational and enjoyable experience for all.

Lesson plans are individually catered to suit a wide range of age + skill levels from Kindergarten through High School.

Your visit to the farm will provide your group with a hands on experience of natural textile processes and an opportunity to witness a slice of life on a working homestead.

Option 1:

Duration: ~2 hours            Price: $15 / student                     Age Range: K-12

Two activities + Lunch time

Activity 1 - meeting / feeding the animals + learning about their role on the farm; learning a bit about each process from raw fiber to finished product.

Activity 2 - short nature hike (<0.1 mile) along creek + collective weaving project.

[The collective weaving project supplies + loom is included and will travel back to the school for display.]

Picnic Lunch w/Alpacas *lunch is not provided, all are welcome to bring their own


option 2:

Duration: 2.5~ hours       Price: $15 / student                   Age Range: 5th - 12th Grade

Two Activities + Lunch

Activity 1 - Meeting + feeding the animals, learning a bit about each process from raw fiber to finished product, short nature hike (<0.1 mile).

Activity 2 - Intro to Weaving Each student will work on a  6" x 10" metal loom that will be provided during the activity. 

[Weaving supplies are included + students can take their finished pieces home.]

Picnic Lunch w/Alpacas *lunch is not provided, all are welcome to bring their own


Option 3:

Duration: 1-1.5  hours       Price: $10 / person               Age Range: Universal (children<3 are free)

All About the Alpacas + Nature Walk

This particular option includes more one-on-one time with all the resident critters and an opportunity to feed, pet, and hang out among the menagerie.

Depending on interest, we can take a leisurely stroll around the creek (<0.1 mile).

Perfect for families / groups with a large age variance, or folks who just want to check "hanging out with alpacas" off their bucket list. . . welcome!
